I’ll be at Patagonia Santa Monica, right on 3rd Street Promenade, reading a few of my travel journalism essays next week. Some are backdropped in remote parts of Alaska, others on the shifting sands of Mexico’s finest point breaks, and all will be celebrating on the adventure that is surfing.
The SM surf community was hit hard by the fires, and we figured this would be a way to breathe some stoke back into one of the original surf towns.
If you’re free on the evening of Friday, July 18th, stop by. I’d love to meet you in person. We’ll have June Shine and good vibes. This is a safe space for anyone who wants to recount the wave of their life in lengthy detail using way too many adverbs. You may have been reprimanded for this sort of thing in the workplace, but we welcome you with open arms and crouched stances.
