The Old Man and the Sea is a book I’ve always imagined myself reading while smoking from a pipe I whittled myself.
Ernest Hemingway is an author I often reference in conversation. “I love how terse her writing is, very Hemingway,” I’ll say authoritatively, failing to mention that I have never read a single page from his books.
If you’re just joining this little book club, the premise is that all of our books hover around 100 pages. The average read time for The Old Man and the Sea is one hour and fifty-two minutes, but I bet a smarty pants like you can blow through it in an hour and fifty-one.
Throughout the month, I’ll ping you with three questions, one per week, meant to prompt discussion, accountability, and depth of thought. You can submit passages that moved you into the discussion as well.
Pick up The Old Man and the Sea and a wooden pipe at your local bookstore.

After reading this I suggest reading another book "my old man and the sea" it's a great modern read expounding upon the ideas of the former.
