Priggish.
Fussy about trivialities or propriety, especially in a self-righteous or irritating manner.
Seth was a goodie-two-shoes teacher's pet, so he got the Hall Monitor job at age 11. When the other kids would run or even walk briskly to class, Seth would blow his piercing little whistle and hand out citations for detention. Seth would hide behind lockers, then pounce like a cat at the smallest signs of rule-breaking. He was priggish in this way. It mattered not if the infraction was big or small, Seth saw justice and injustice on a binary scale.
Seth later became a mall cop, and if you visit the Santa Monica promenade Thursday-Sunday, you may see Seth riding his chariot (Segway) along those squeaky clean streets.
