I wonder if a 5 to 10% tax could work on all surfing gear. Put it towards protecting the coasts, oceans and surf spots. Maybe even help fun something that can protect us from the man in the grey suits.
It would be interesting to see how the surfing community reacts to that.
Thanks for reading Jack. I know Patagonia puts a self-imposted tax on themselves which goes to conservation, but unfortunately most surf brand wouldn't do that voluntarily. I would support that idea though.
